Copper Hammer

New players leave the hammer out of the starting kit and then wonder why they cannot remove a background wall or shape a roof. Nothing else does either job. Half blocks and slopes are the difference between a house that looks built and one that looks stacked, and the hammer is the only way to get them.

Copper covers both of those. A few surfaces later in the game need a stronger hammer, but you will have one long before you meet them, so there is no reason to chase an upgrade early.

Skip reforging it as well. The cheap speed rolls come out level with the expensive one once the game rounds off, so whatever it lands on first is fine.
