How to craft it
where it fits
This is the first real step up from a plain wooden blade if your world rolled Corruption, and it stays useful for about as long as it takes you to find copper or tin. Autoswing is what you notice most, since the extra reach lets you clear slimes without stepping into them.
Crimson worlds get the Shadewood Sword instead and never see this one naturally. You can force it by growing corrupt trees from seeds, or by hauling ebonwood in from another world, but neither is worth doing for a starter weapon you will drop within the hour.
