These are the background noise of desert fishing rather than something you go after. Sit down at a desert pool for any length of time and they pile up on their own while you are actually waiting on quest catches and crates.

Keep them anyway. They cook into Blackened Fish, which turns an otherwise worthless stack into a food buff for the price of a trip to a cooking pot. If you are settling in for a long desert session, drop a chest at the water's edge, because your inventory will fill with these long before the rare pulls arrive.
