Frostspark Boots

This is the accessory that closes out early game mobility. You sprint up to speed quickly and hold a top speed most ground enemies cannot match, you get a short burst of hovering by holding jump, and ice stops being an obstacle. Frozen caves no longer slide you into pits, and thin ice does not shatter when you land on it.

The midair hover only works while you have no wings equipped. Put wings on and the boots hand their flight over to the wings, which extends your total airtime rather than giving you two separate abilities. Nothing is lost, but do not plan on hovering and flapping as two tools.

At full sprint, running into a wall with a single block gap in the floor beside it can occasionally drop you straight through the hole. It is rare and harmless most of the time. It is worth remembering when the floor you are sprinting across is a thin bridge over lava.
