A golden critter is a lottery ticket that hops. It appears in place of an ordinary bunny at long odds and it is worth more coin than anything else you are likely to pick up on the surface early on, so the first instinct to attack is the wrong one. Bring out the net.

It has the health of a normal critter, meaning a wandering zombie or a stray shot from your own weapon will delete it before you get near. If one shows up at night, clear the area first. A Lifeform Analyzer will call one out before it is on screen, which turns the whole thing from luck into a patrol route.

Caging it costs you nothing, since the cage sells for the same as the critter did. If you want the money back later, Shimmer will undo the craft.
