Gold Grasshopper

This is the ordinary grasshopper with a rare gold reskin, and the only reason to care is what it is worth. It turns up entirely by accident while you are cutting grass for seeds, and there is no farming method that beats simply mowing a lot of surface and jungle growth while you are busy with something else.

Three uses that compete with each other. Its bait power is respectable but nowhere near the best available, and burning something this valuable on a single cast is a poor trade once you have any of the jungle bugs. Selling it is the honest answer. Caging it costs you nothing, since the finished cage is worth the same as the bug, so decorate first and sell later if you change your mind.

A lifeform detector will name it before you see it, which is realistically the only way to know one spawned nearby. Without one you are relying on catching a gold flicker in the grass, and they die to anything that walks past, so a rare spawn can be gone before you reach it.
