Grubby

Swing at jungle foliage. Every plant you break has a chance to shake one loose, and the big leafy growths are far more generous than the short grass. Only a handful can exist near you at once, so if nothing is appearing, walk somewhere else rather than assuming bad luck. It is the common one of the three jungle bugs, which means it is the one you will actually see.

Low power, but you can gather a stack in a few minutes of clearing plants, and that volume matters more than quality when you are grinding Angler quests early. Save the rarer two bugs for when a single cast needs to count, or cage them. Once one goes into a cage it stays there unless you run the furniture back through Shimmer.

A Buggy Statue will produce them endlessly, but a net will not take them. They pop into smoke the moment you try. The statue is for decoration and for feeding things that eat critters, not for stocking a bait chest.
