This rolls four separate fishing accessories into one slot: the lava hook, the bait saver, the line that never snaps and the fishing power bump. On a full angling loadout that frees up two or three slots for movement or defense, which matters more than it sounds when you are fishing in the Underworld with things flying at you.

The fishing power adds on top of the Angler Earring and the smaller bag, so if you are hunting a specific rare catch you can wear all three at once and take the full amount. Bait conservation works the other way and does not stack at all. Holding on to a Tackle Box hoping to double your odds of keeping a worm is wasted equipment space.

Only if you actually fish lava. The Underworld crates and the hell-only catches are the payoff, and everything else this bag does the older version already did. If you are fishing ponds on the surface, skip the upgrade and spend the materials elsewhere.
