Mining Potion

Only pickaxes get faster. Drills and the Drill Containment Unit ignore it completely, which catches out players who upgrade to a drill and then wonder why their potion stash stopped mattering. Tools that are both pickaxe and axe get the boost on the pickaxe half only.

Mining speed bonuses do not simply add together, they cut into the time that is left, so each new source you add is worth more than the one before it. Piling the potion on top of mining armor, a Celestial Stone or Shell and an Ancient Chisel takes you to the cap, and at the cap a strong pickaxe removes a block every single tick. The gap between one potion and the full stack is enormous, which is why a big digging project is worth an hour of preparation rather than just starting.

You will find far more of these than you ever brew. Pots, chests and crates hand them out constantly and slimes cough one up now and then, so check what you already have before spending herbs on them.
