Sky Crate

One Skyware Chest item comes out of every crate, which turns Floating Island loot from an exploration problem into a fishing problem. The Starfury is what most people are after. It is a strong early sword that calls a star down on each swing, and sweeping the sky for the one chest holding it can eat an entire in-game week. Fledgling Wings still appear but rarely enough that you should not plan around them.

You need water at Space height, which usually means locating a Floating Lake or hauling buckets up to a sky platform of your own. Once it exists the catch rate is the same as anywhere else. Grab the Sky Mill early if it drops, since it is the only way to make Sunplate and cloud blocks without tearing an island apart for them.

In Zenith and For the Worthy worlds the sky chests are locked behind a key you cannot get until the Dungeon opens up. Crates ignore that entirely, so fishing is the way to island gear before Skeletron goes down.
