By the time Spectre Bars are on the table you probably already carry a Drax and a Chlorophyte chainsaw, so the question is not whether this is fast. It is whether you want one slot doing two jobs. On a building trip the answer is usually yes: knocking a wall out and then felling the trees for the frame without swapping tools leaves the rest of the hotbar free for blocks.

For combat clearing it is worse than a dedicated weapon, so do not bring it as your answer to anything that fights back.

Do not spend coins chasing the top modifier. Several of the cheaper speed rolls come out identical once the game rounds the result, so the first decent one you get is the one to keep.
