Used to craft
what it adds
Land a hit and a second copy of your yoyo spawns and circles the first. Wear a counterweight as well and you end up with four objects orbiting the target, which looks spectacular and is genuinely good at clearing a room.
The cost is uptime. While the duplicate is out, your spin timer drains several times faster at a randomized rate, and when either yoyo runs dry both retract together. You are trading how long the yoyo stays deployed for how much ground it covers.
why it barely helps on bosses
Every yoyo except the Terrarian uses global invincibility frames. Two yoyos on one enemy cannot both register, so the second projectile contributes almost nothing to single target damage. Against a boss you get the visual and very little else.
In a crowd it is a different weapon, because the two yoyos can sit on separate enemies. Invasions, the Dungeon, and any corridor fight are where the accessory pays for itself.
buying and replacing it
The Skeleton Merchant sells it, so you need to catch him underground on a night he is carrying it. Its effect does not stack with the Yoyo Bag, which absorbs the glove entirely, so treat this as the version you use until the bag exists.
