Placement speed is a stat you only notice once you take it off. With this equipped, laying a long floor or filling in a wall stops feeling like a rate limit and starts feeling like dragging a line. On anything bigger than a starter house it saves real minutes per session.

The bonus only applies while a placeable block is in your hand, and torches are specifically excluded, so lighting a tunnel runs at normal speed no matter what you are wearing. Holding a tool or a weapon gives you nothing either, which is worth knowing before you assume it is a passive that is always on.

Do not wear it next to what it becomes. Once the Architect Gizmo Pack is assembled this is redundant, and the freed slot is better spent on almost anything else.
