Chlorophyte Shotbow

One arrow in the magazine becomes a small volley on the way out, and that multiplication is the whole weapon. It falls apart with ammo that already pierces. Against a single enemy only one arrow out of the burst actually registers, so Unholy Arrows, Jester's Arrows and Hellfire Arrows throw most of the shot away. Feed it ammo that hits once and hits properly.

Ichor Arrows are the usual answer. The base arrow is weak, but every hit strips defense and the burst applies that faster than a single shot bow ever could, so the whole party benefits. Chlorophyte Arrows are the lazy option when you want the shots to steer themselves.

The Hallowed Repeater hits harder per arrow and swings faster, and it still loses over a full fight because it only ever sends one arrow. If you are shooting at something big and stationary, the shotbow wins. If you are picking off scattered enemies at range, the spread is wasted and the repeater is easier to aim.
