It is a separate inventory, unconnected to the Piggy Bank, the Safe and the Void Vault, so buying one adds capacity instead of moving it around. Carrying all four means an entire cave dive or build session comes home in one trip, which is the actual reason to spend medals on it.
when to buy it
Defender medals only come out of the army event, so this competes directly with the gear that event exists to fund. Get the sentries and the armor you plan to use first. The forge is a convenience, and it is exactly as convenient bought later.
notes
- Placed, it has the largest footprint of any personal storage item, so give it a wall of its own instead of squeezing it beside a workbench.
- It glows, on the ground and in a frame as well as placed, which makes it easy to pick out of a cluttered storage room.
- The name is a nod to Dungeon Defenders, where the same object handled your gear between runs.
