Flurry Boots

These are the ice biome flavor of Hermes Boots. The sprint is the same, the top speed is the same, and the only difference you will ever notice is the dust kicked up behind you. They do not stack with the other variants, so if you already run one pair, a second is a crafting ingredient rather than an upgrade.

Their value is in showing up early. Frozen Chests sit in the ice caverns, which is a reasonable first expedition, and both Frozen Crates and Boreal Crates can cough up a pair while you fish for something else.

Whichever variant you find first should go straight into Spectre Boots, and from there into Lightning Boots. Wearing plain speed boots deep into hardmode is a wasted accessory slot.
