the first movement upgrade that matters
Finding these changes how the early game feels. Running becomes a real option instead of something you do while waiting to arrive, and outpacing a slime or a zombie stops being a question. The dust trail behind you is the only sign the effect is actually live.
do not sell them
Two other early accessories do the same job, so wearing more than one is wasted. What matters is that this pair is the base of the boot upgrade chain that runs all the way to the endgame, so the ones you pull out of a cavern chest eventually end up inside a much better accessory. Keep the first pair, store the duplicates.
getting to top speed instantly
The sprint takes a moment to build, which is annoying when you need the speed right now. There are two ways around that. Fire a grappling hook nearly flat along the ground in the direction you want to go, hold that direction, then jump to release the hook and you inherit its pull as a running start. A dash accessory does the same thing with one button.
the reference
The Pegasus Boots from the Zelda games are the obvious ancestor. Same idea, same habit of naming footwear after a Greek figure, near identical running dust, and the original sprite here was almost pixel for pixel the Minish Cap version.
