Hero's Hat
How to craft it
pulling the materials together
None of the ingredients are rare, but the sheer volume of Cobweb is what slows this down. Webs regrow in unlit cave pockets and pile up thickest around spider nests, so one deliberate sweep through a nest covers far more ground than collecting them as you pass. The green comes from Jungle Grass Seeds, cut off jungle grass with anything that harvests plants. Build a Loom before you start, since the whole outfit is made there rather than at a workbench.
how it wears
Every piece is social only, so it goes over whatever armor the fight actually calls for and changes nothing about how you play. The Hero's Hat is unusual for a head vanity in that it redraws the character's hair instead of sitting on top of it, which only a couple of other head pieces do. Worth knowing if you spent time on a hairstyle you liked. The Shirt and Pants behave normally.
the reference
The green tunic and the pointed cap are Link, from The Legend of Zelda. The set has been in the game since very early on, and it was moved off the workbench and onto the loom once cloth crafting settled into its own station.
