How to craft it
Set bonus
The bonus applies while the helmet, chestpiece and leggings are all worn together.
what the boosters do
Nebula is the endgame mage set, built from Luminite and Nebula Fragments after Moon Lord falls. Its bonus converts your magic hits into pickups. Hurt something with a magic weapon and there is a chance a small orb drops into the world; walk over it and the buff starts orbiting your character. Three kinds exist, one raising damage, one raising health regeneration and one restoring mana, and each can stack a few levels deep. Like every Luminite set the armor also lights the area around you, brighter with each piece worn.
keeping the stacks alive
Stacks decay a level at a time on a short timer, so the set rewards uninterrupted contact. Against a boss with long invulnerable stretches you will watch them bleed away; against anything you can keep hitting, you sit at the ceiling for the whole fight. Only magic damage produces orbs now, so minions and other projectile types contribute nothing. A few targets refuse to yield them at all, including Bubble Shields, Tesla Turrets, Martian Drones and Ancient Dooms. Grabbing a booster you already have raises the stack and restarts its clock, so a stray one you nearly ignored is still worth stepping on.
the mana booster is the quiet one
Normal mana regeneration stops dead the moment you cast, which is why mages carry potions everywhere. This one does not care. It keeps refilling the bar while you are actively firing, so weapons you would normally have to feather can be held down instead.
collecting them
The game files treat boosters as dropped items rather than as Stars, which is why the Celestial Magnet does nothing for them while the Treasure Magnet helps. They also hang in the air instead of falling, so an airborne fight does not lose them to the floor. Anyone can pick one up, armor or not, and in multiplayer a pickup hands the same buff to teammates standing nearby, or to everyone in range if you are not on a team.
against spectre
Compared with either Spectre configuration, this set gives up nothing offensively and survives close to what the hood manages. It also holds up better in the fight it was made for. Moon Bite shuts down the lifesteal the Spectre Hood depends on, but the Life Booster raises passive regeneration rather than healing on hit, so the debuff cannot touch it.
