The Tavernkeep sells all three pieces for Defender Medals earned in the Old One's Army, and the event tier that pays out enough of them only opens once Golem is down. It is the completed form of the Monk gear from earlier in the same chain.

Wear all three and the Lightning Aura sentries stop being a fringe pick. The rings get wider, they tick faster, and they can land critical hits at a fixed rate that nothing else feeds into. Scattered across a boss arena they grind away constantly while you fight the way you normally would, which is why the set works for melee players who never think of themselves as summoners.

The aura upgrade is baked in when the sentry goes down, not checked while it stands. So you can put the full set on, lay your auras out, then change back into whatever armor you actually want to fight in and keep the enlarged rings for the rest of their life. It costs you a bit of inventory juggling at the start of every fight, and in exchange you carry the sentry benefit into a set with better defense or better damage.

The chest slot is the flexible one. Valhalla Knight's Breastplate buys a lot of survivability at the cost of swing speed, and the Monk's Shirt trades defense for raw damage. Which one wins depends on the weapon. Anything that scales with attack speed, the Terra Blade being the obvious case, comes out better with the original torso than with the Monk piece.

Melee speed drives whips as well, so summoners get real mileage out of this despite it being written as a melee kit. Add Feral Claws or one of its upgrades and you can keep every minion locked onto the same target. One quirk worth knowing: summon critical bonuses roll as independent checks rather than adding together, so a Morning Star or Kaleidoscope under this set lands slightly better than adding the two figures would suggest.
