Tally Counter

Informational accessories work from anywhere you can stow them, including your inventory, a Void Bag, or a vanity slot. The only reason to burn a real accessory slot on it is to carry a modifier. In multiplayer the readout is shared with teammates standing near you, so one person can carry it for the group.

Banner hunting. Banners come at fixed kill totals that differ by how rare the enemy is, and without a counter you have no idea whether you are five kills out or eighty. Hit the enemy once and the number tracks that type until you attack something else, so keep your attention on one target while you grind.

• Bosses, boss servants, target dummies and nearly all critters have no banner, so there is nothing to count.
• Several hardmode enemies pool their kills with the pre-hardmode version they were built from, which can make a number look far larger than your session earned.
• The bestiary keeps its own separate tally. The two will not agree and neither is broken.

Grab it before Plantera goes down. Afterward the dungeon repopulates and the enemies that carry the drop become far harder to find.
