Tin Axe

Axes are the tool nobody thinks about until a build needs two hundred wood. The tin version is a shade quicker than the copper one, close enough that you will not feel it swing to swing, but a whole forest adds up.

Its working life is short. Iron or lead replaces it as soon as you smelt any, and there is no reason to keep hacking at trees with tin after that.

Do not sell it, though. A low tier axe is the base for the Axe of Regrowth, which drops an acorn back into the stump every time it takes a tree down. That is the one thing a starter axe is still worth holding on to for.
