A wider swing covers ground your sword did not reach before, which is a quiet upgrade to every broadsword you own and to the arc of a whip. The doubled knockback is the part worth thinking about. Punting an enemy out of your swing between hits costs you damage, and on a weapon that already throws things across the room it becomes an active nuisance. It is best on crowds and on anything you want held at arm's length.

The reason to want one off a mimic is what it turns into. It folds into the melee accessory chain that ends in the fire gauntlet, and each step keeps the reach increase while adding the things you actually want out of the slot. Wearing it raw once you can craft further is leaving value on the table.

Pair it with a Slap Hand rolled into a knockback modifier and you get one of the hardest hits in the game, measured in distance traveled rather than damage dealt. It is not efficient. It is extremely funny, and it will clear a room by launching everything out of it.
