Seaweed1/20 (5%)what you are actually fishing for
Each crate gives one item off the Jungle Shrine list, weighted evenly apart from Flower Boots, which is the rare pull. Feral Claws are the one that changes a run. They grant autoswing to melee weapons that lacked it, and they start the accessory chain that eventually becomes the Fire Gauntlet, so a mid-run melee character has a reason to keep casting. Staff of Regrowth pays for itself the moment you decide to farm herbs seriously. The rest are fine and forgettable.
Fishing is also a legitimate way to skip shrine hunting entirely. Jungle Shrines are buried, scattered and easy to walk past, and the Underground Jungle is not a pleasant place to comb methodically. Sitting at a pool on the surface with a decent rod gets you the same chest pool with none of the hornets.
the filler is worth something
- Bamboo comes in stacks large enough to actually build with, which matters if you like the furniture set.
- Ore and bars are single rolls each, and one crate never mixes the early metals with the Hardmode ones.
