Solar Flare Pickaxe

Every luminite tool ships in a pickaxe form and a drill form, and the difference decides which one you should actually make. Drills ignore mining speed bonuses entirely. The pickaxes take all of them, so a mining potion, mining armor and an ancient chisel stack up and push the pickaxe past its drill counterpart. It also reaches further, which saves repositioning on a long tunnel.

It breaks everything, so once Moon Lord is down no block asks for a stronger tool. Its pickaxe power sits slightly under the Laser Drill, which never shows up in play because nothing in the world sits in that gap. Only the Drill Containment Unit clears ground faster, and that is a mount rather than a replacement.

The four fragment types produce the same tool with different art, so build whichever fragments you have spare after your armor is finished. Legendary is the top roll on paper, but rounding puts several of the speed modifiers on the same result, so a Light or Quick roll is not worth spending money to replace. The solar version glows across its entire sprite in the dark, and all four give off light when dropped or displayed.
