Solar Fragment

This is the melee endgame material. The armor built from it boosts every melee weapon type at once instead of picking a favorite, and its dash and shield behavior changes how you fight, since barging straight through an attack is often better than trying to dodge it. The weapons, wings and tools on the same crafting list are all worth having.

Working through the full crafting list takes several complete Lunar Events plus repeat Moon Lord kills, so treat your first pillar as a down payment rather than a shopping trip. The per run drop range is wide enough that a lucky run and an unlucky one differ by a factor of several, which is why estimates never hold.

The four fragment types convert into each other, so a surplus is never wasted. If you finish the melee list early and have leftovers, push them toward whichever class you want to try next rather than letting them sit in a chest. Going the other way is worth it only if you are short by a handful, since another event usually costs less than converting fragments you actually wanted.
