Vortex Fragment

This is the fragment you want if your character shoots things. The armor it builds is the endgame ranged set and the jump it gives a bow or gun character is big enough that it is worth killing this pillar before the others, while your arena is still intact and the event has not worn you down.

Nobody finishes the full crafting list in a single event. Plan on several passes through the lunar fight, and remember the Moon Lord sits behind most of it, since the good weapons need his material as well as the fragments. If all you want is the armor, one or two clean pillar clears will get you there and you can come back for the rest later.

Piles from the other three pillars are not dead weight. They can be turned into this type, so a lopsided haul still counts toward the set you care about. Clear all four pillars even on a build that only uses one of them, and stop hoarding the wrong colors in a chest.
