Snow Block

Placing these near the surface starts snow falling around you, and the effect scales with how many are close by instead of switching on at a single threshold. A few give you the occasional flake. A few hundred packed around a base turn it into a steady blizzard. It is purely visual and changes nothing about spawns or movement, and snow bricks feed the same count.

• Neither evil biome nor the Hallow can spread into snow, so a snow shell around a build is a permanent quarantine wall.
• Hammered into half blocks against a background wall they take on a flatter, wetter look that reads as slush. It is a common trick for counters and shop fronts.
• No amount of heat turns snow back into water, and water will not produce it, so a snow supply has to be dug or farmed off the Frost Legion.
