Housing the Party Girl in a loved or liked biome lowers shop prices and unlocks pylon sales; hated biomes do the opposite.

the longest wait in town

Filling a town out to twenty residents is only the entry fee. After that she still has to pass a small roll every couple of minutes before she is even eligible to appear, which works out to roughly forty times longer than anybody else takes. It is completely normal for her to be the last name on your list by a wide margin while you wonder what requirement you missed. You did not miss one. The headcount is generous too: the Old Man, a Traveling Merchant mid visit and town pets all count, while the Skeleton Merchant does not.

If she dies later she returns at normal speed. The lottery only applies to her first arrival.

two ways to skip the wait

A drunk world hands her over at the start, where she takes the Guide's usual place as your first resident. The celebration seed also opens with her already in town and already named Amanda. Both are worth knowing if you want her stock early rather than at the tail end of a playthrough.

the parts of her shop that are not decoration

Most of the list is furniture and confetti, but a few lines earn their slot. Bubble blocks hold water or honey in midair, which is how people build a honey pad above an arena for constant regeneration without flooding the floor. A Pigronata bursts into Party Bullets, which beat the cheap rounds and cost almost nothing while a party is running. Celebration is a real launcher rather than a gag, though it waits until Golem is down. The Confetti Cannon needs the Pirate living in town first.

stock that is gated on something you have to go and do

A large share of her list only appears under a condition. Streamers, balloons and the pigronata want an active party, which means you cannot stock up on party supplies until you are already having one. Rockets arrive with hardmode. The lantern release only shows during a lantern night, the dove release only in a graveyard, and the football only after you have put serious time into golf. Plan a shopping trip around a party instead of expecting to clear her out on one visit.

no party happens without her

Parties cannot occur in a world she does not live in, and that reaches further than her own shelf, since other vendors change what they sell while one is running. She is a prerequisite for a whole tier of decoration and a couple of useful consumables. Talk to her during a natural party and the first player to do so gets a Slice of Cake, whose buff is a builder's tool rather than a combat one.

the soundtrack toggle

Visiting a drunk world once unlocks a music option in her dialogue permanently, across every character and every world you own. Turning it on swaps the entire soundtrack for the Otherworld version, filling any gaps with the closest matching track where no direct counterpart was written. Each of those songs has its own music box. In multiplayer the change is per player, so only people who unlocked and enabled it hear anything different, though everybody can listen to the boxes. Leaving the world puts the normal music back.

she fights back

She throws Happy Grenades at anything that gets close, and she hits noticeably harder than most residents do from the very start of the game. Killing her spills a pile of the grenades, which is by some distance the cheapest way to end up holding a stack. Her shop only lists them once you already have some, so it is a restock rather than a source.
